Training of Trainers (TOT)
Our trainer support team is excited to promote Training of Trainers (TOTs) events in several curriculum areas. These events may be face-to-face or offered online through Eager-to-Learn. Here are answers to common questions we receive about TOTs.
What are the TOT participation requirements?
All TOT participants must be approved trainers through the Minnesota Center for Professional Development (MNCPD) and provide your Develop ID. Visit the MNCPD website for information about the trainer approval process.
Make sure you can attend all chat sessions and webinars and have the time to complete all of the work. Your name will not be submitted as a qualified trainer if you miss any sessions or work.
What if I don’t meet the requirements?
If you do not meet participation requirements, you can complete the Request for Special Consideration on Page 3 of the application. Special considerations may be given to trainers who can present a substantial case that their participation in a TOT will benefit a specific community whose needs would not be met by other qualifying trainers. Examples include but are not limited to: Multi-lingual delivery, cultural considerations, underserved geographic regions.
What is the TOT application and selection process?
We’re committed to being transparent about the TOT application and selection process. Visit our TOT Process section to learn more.
Where can I find TOT opportunities?
You can view all current and upcoming TOT opportunities on our TOT Calendar page.
